-I pretty much floated it. When I dove in and on each turn for about 150 the B70 I was wearing was ballooning from the chest. It was from the lotion on my body not allowing the suit to stick to my skin.....I hadn't thought about it, but now I know. That is why I wanted this last "tune up" meet before Nationals. Guy next to me in the 40-44 age group went 5:08! That close to what I want to do at Nationals and I wasn't feeling it today to push myself that hard to try to race him.

100 IM: 59.73
-I just wanted to break a minute, so I was happy. I completely forgot to take a breath at all on the Fly! Whoops! 30-yr old Lance Asti went 52 something next to me!

-Best event/swim of the day. Swam next to Lance Asti so I knew he was he was gonna be fast. Surprising we were even the first 50 and then he decided to hit another gear and negative split it! However I was thrilled with my time....so close to breaking 50 sec! I'll do it at Nationals for sure!

-I went 2nd

-I wanted to negative split it and I did....by alot! First 100 I cruised, probably too much, and got on it the 2nd 100. Happy with the time and I'm pretty sure I can be in the 2:08 area at Nationals.

-In summary I'm really happy with the way I swam in the middle of training and can't wait to taper and get to Nationals. I have about 10 days of training normal and then I'll start backing down.
